🌊🌊🌊 LEMURIA: A FLOOD, A QUAKE, A LOST WORLD

by Ernesto Ribeiro and Lygia Cabus

Map with the supposed location of Lemuria and Atlantis

In the midst of investigations into Cultures and Societies, records of ancient civilizations (some prehistoric) are frequent, whose vestiges suggest that they mastered strange technologies, possessed complex engineering and architecture, inexplicable artifacts, and may even have had contact with extraterrestrial spacecraft and beings.

Evidence of these contacts can be seen today in the numerous monuments found throughout the world, such as in Portugal, where four menhirs supporting a disc show a perfect arrangement to give the impression of flying.

These stone circles, the most famous of which is Stonehenge (England), are constructions invariably conditioned by a relationship with the celestial map of the location.

Lemuria (also called the continent of Mu) is mentioned in the preface to the Epic of Gilgamesh, the oldest narrative in Western history.

Written about 5,500 years ago by the Sumerians, the first [Western] civilization known to have invented writing, Gilgamesh refers to a Great Flood that occurred 10,000 years ago, at the end of the last Ice Age, which affected the entire planet.

In this event, what remained of Lemurian humanity is said to have perished. Legend says that the Sumerians were the last descendants of Lemuria.

Those, "the third race," the Lemurians, were a human species completely different from present-day Homo sapiens and different from the supposed Darwinian evolutionary sequence of human types (such as Pithecanthropus, Neanderthals, etc.).

It is likely that Mediterranean peoples [like the Greeks] confused Lemuria with Atlantis, since the Pacific Ocean was not part of the world they knew; the Pacific is on the other side of the Earth, while the Atlantic is right next to it.

It is said that Plato, one of the best-known Western philosophers who mentions Atlantis, associated the lost continent with the destruction of the advanced Minoan matriarchal society on the island of Crete, devastated by a volcano and a tsunami. Therefore, this would have been a local, not a global, catastrophe.

Some say the Lemurian catastrophe was planetary. It would have occurred 9,000 years ago, resulting from the largest collision in history between tectonic plates, which ruptured the base of the great island or continent that dominated the geography of emerged lands at that time. It is possible that no one survived.

At their peak, the Lemurians are believed to have expanded into colonies and made contact with other cultures around the world. It's possible they coexisted with another emerging race, as well as with genetically degenerate specimens: chimeras.

Legend says the Lemurians were superhuman beings, standing 3 meters tall [giants]. Some were winged: "bird-men." They were cursed by the gods because they "knew too much."

Lemuria is a "lost world." It couldn't be otherwise, given such an ancient humanity. Time erases everything, slowly blurring the accuracy of the "stories."

HYBRIS

Whatever the "civilization," it seems that its existence is subject to an inevitable cycle, heading towards its own extinction, according to conceptions as diverse as those of Darwin and theosophists: all Humanities, and we are in the fifth of a cycle of seven (according to theosophists), are destroyed by Hybris, in Greek: the sin of the ambition to be divine.

There is a kind of mismatch, a fatal asynchrony between the evolutionary processes that contemplate the inclinations of matter to the detriment of an evolution that equally reaches the spirit.

The result is excessive brute power in the hands of spiritually weak creatures, slaves to purely carnal desires.

The consequence is always the same: in myths and in recent history: decadence, abuse, perversion, corruption, bestiality, barbarism, imbalance, collapse, fall.
