On January 12, 1890, the edition of the satirical magazine Le Grelot (FR) published a cartoon in which an unfortunate patient with the flu is oppressed by a circle of doctors, pharmacists  and their products, death specters and dancers, figures of grotesque women, representing the disease-fighting resources used by common folk.
